Saccharomyces Boulardii 60's
A friendly, non-colonizing yeast species closely related to Brewer's yeast and not related to the yeast group to which Candida belongs. Saccharomyces boulardii taken orally produces lactic acid and some B vitamins as it becomes established. During use, friendly bacteria are allowed to colonize in the GI tract making Saccharomyces boulardii particularly beneficial in balancing intestinal microbiology. It is then eliminated after supplementation is stopped.
Saccharomyces boulardii is a friendly yeast strain, which has been used for treatment and prevention of diarrhoea resulting from multiple etiologies. Saccharomyces boulardii has been isolated from the skins of tropical fruits found in Indo-china. Saccharomyces boulardii is classified as a micro-organism that when ingested may have a positive influence on the host's health.
Approximately 70% of the body’s immune cells can be found within the digestive tract. The digestive system and the innate immune system need to deal with all the food that we consume. Antibiotics, other drugs and stress and some foods and drinks we consume have a negative impact on our mucosal health and require restorative help. S. Boulardii supports a number of functions within the digestive tract including the support and increased production of Secretory Immunoglobulin A, the most abundant immunoglobulin within the human body.
