DESCRIPTION
Chlorella is a single-celled green fresh-water alga, about the same size as a human red blood cell. Chlorella strongly absorbs sunlight, which makes it important that chlorella is cultivated in open sunlight. Chlorella possesses a high amount of chlorophyll accelerating the process of photo-synthesis. It is a popular product, especially in Japan, where it is called "concentrated sunlight".

The intense photosynthetic process causes chlorella to multiply rapidly. The CGF (Chlorella Growth Factor) in chlorella is partly responsible for this rapid growth. CFG also stimulates human metabolism. In addition, chlorella is a rich source of nutrients, including high-quality vegetable protein (60%), fibres, vitamins, minerals, carotenoids (especially beta carotene and lutein), chlorophyll and nucleic acids (RNA, DNA).
Chlorella is a very rich source of chlorophyll, which is an important factor in heavy metal chelation. The cell wall components of chlorella are important to bind and secrete heavy metals, pesticides and toxins. Chlorella supports the conservation of healthy cells and tissues (especially because of the high amount of nucleic acids and CGF).
