This is an interesting member of the B vitamin family because whilst our body can’t make it (which is part of the definition of being a vitamin), the bacteria in our digestive system can make it, and we can absorb it from this source. However, antibiotics and intestinal disturbances can disrupt its normal production.
Biotin contributes to the process that releases energy from food and in the maintenance of normal skin and mucous membranes. It also contributes to the normal function of the immune system and the maintenance of normal hair.
This is a high strength supplement that provides a level of biotin that would be difficult to obtain from most ‘high street’ multis. Each capsule provides a full 500µg of biotin. Produced in premises that operate to stringent pharmaceutical standards of GMP.
