DESCRIPTION
Until recently, scientists did not know that biotin, one of the least-known B-vitamins, is one of the
most important substances in our metabolism. The scientific study of biotin currently focuses on
the role biotin plays in (specifically epigenetic) processes of the most important genes that ensure
the maintenance of the homeostatic balance. Genes coding for various enzymes, growth factors, and even for proteins that deal with voice, are all influenced by biotin-dependent mechanisms.
The major biotin-dependent processes are activation and deactivation of histones.
These processes largely determine the amount of protein that these genes produce. It appears that biotin, just like vitamin D, is among the most essential of all nutrients. This is probably the reason
that biotin is present in almost all foods. Nevertheless, it is indicated that supplementation with biotin
is necessary in many cases. To obtain results, often doses are required that lie far above the daily intake. The bioavailability of biotin varies greatly (from nearly 100% to only 5%). Several food ingredients (e.g. avidin in raw eggs) and some medication (antibiotics) can strongly inhibit the bioavailability of biotin in the intestines. Diabetics often turn out to have low levels of biotin.
Biotin is particularly important for them considering it’s role it plays in the production and release
of insulin.

USE
Take 1 to 4 tablets per day, during or immediately after a meal.
