DESCRIPTION
Acetyl-L-carnitine (ALC) is related to L-carnitine but has some unique qualities (especially with regard to the central nervous system). A major difference between acetyl-L-carnitine (ALC) and L-carnitine is that acetyl-L-carnitine easily passes the blood-brain barrier and plays a more important role in the metabolism of the brain. The body’s own synthesis of ALC decreases as we grow older. Supplementing with ALC helps to protect the brain from age-related decline.

USE
Take 2 capsules daily, at least half an hour before a meal. The capsules are preferably not taken together with foods containing protein.

For a good mental balance: 500 mg to 2 g per day.

To support the nervous system: 1.5 to 3 g per day.

The effect on mental energy is often quick, starting after about twenty minutes. The other effects are mostly noticeable after a month.
